Supporting individuals in Hood River County with type II diabetes through exercise and pantry education.
Let's Walk!
Our Story
Who We Are
Jayson Robidoux welcomes you to WalkWithMe, a Hood River-based non-profit organization committed to enhancing the lives of individuals with Type II diabetes. Jayson's mission is simple yet powerful: to offer support, education, and motivation to help individuals take control of their health through walking and basic diet education.

Jayson's father passed away due to type II diabetes complications and as a volunteer EMT/firefighter Jayson comforted many patients with those same complications. These experiences coupled with Jayson's passion for volunteerism as a ski guide for the visually impaired, naturally lead to the formation of WalkWithMe.
At WalkWithMe, we understand the challenges of managing Type II diabetes, and we're here to provide the tools and guidance you need to lead a healthier life. Led by Jayson's passion for supporting those affected by diabetes, we aim to create a community where individuals feel empowered to make positive lifestyle changes.
What We Do:
-
Free walking Programs: Regular walking sessions designed to improve physical health, enhance fitness, and boost mood. Walking is an easy and effective way to manage blood sugar levels while staying active.
-
Complimentary diet Education: Basic, practical nutrition advice to help individuals make informed food choices that support healthy blood sugar levels and overall well-being.
-
Support & Motivation: Jayson's dedication to empowering others means we offer ongoing support and motivation to help you stay committed to your health journey.
At WalkWithMe, we're more than just a non-profit – we're a community. We're here to walk alongside you, offering guidance, encouragement, and the resources needed to make lasting, positive changes in your life.

Walking Programs
Promoting Physical Activity
Our free walking programs aim to encourage physical activity among individuals with type II diabetes. Through guided walks and group activities, we promote a healthy lifestyle and provide a supportive community for those looking to improve their health.
Diet Education
Nutritional Guidance
Our complimentary diet education is simply a short pantry walk through with tips on how to avoid unhealthy oils, sugars, and harmful additives.
Community Support
Building Connections
Building a supportive community is a key aspect of our mission. We strive to create a network of individuals, volunteers, and donors who are dedicated to supporting and empowering those affected by type II diabetes.
